For over 50 years, Montgomery Early Learning Centers’ (MELC) mission has been to develop, provide, and advocate for high quality early childhood education, school age programs and related services in support of all children. MELC programs offer a safe and nurturing environment, qualified staff, and age appropriate curriculum to encourage learning, development, and growth during the most important years of a child’s life. MELC’s focus is on providing the highest quality care and education to families. We participate in Pennsylvania’s quality assurance program, Keystone STARS, as well as nationally recognized accreditation organizations including National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Council on Accreditation (COA).
MELC’s School Age program offers wraparound services so children are getting educational experiences and care before and after the school day. The program provides hands-on learning opportunities for children in atmospheres outside of their classroom, while focusing on their hobbies and interests to keep them engaged during out-of-school hours. MELC offers School Age care through its Colonial School Age Program, Jenkintown School Age Program, and Lower Merion School Age Program.
Additionally, MELC offers camp sessions throughout the summer with convenient before and after camp care. Camp MELC a fun and engaging time with activities, field trips, and weekly themes focused on art, science, history, and more.
