Brandywine Creek State Park is a 933 acre park located 3 miles north of Wilmington, Delaware along the Brandywine Creek. Fishing, hiking, meadows and trails make it popular with families. (fishing license and trout stamp required). Canoeing, kayaking and tubing are also popular ways to experience the Brandywine and local outfitters rent canoes, kayaks and tubes. Much of the park was part of a Du Pont family estate and dairy farm before becoming a state park in 1965.
