Brandywine Creek State Parks

Brandywine Creek State Park is a 933 acre park located 3 miles north of Wilmington, DE along the Brandywine Creek. Fishing, hiking, meadows and trails make it popular with families. (fishing license and trout stamp required). Canoeing, kayaking and tubing are also popular ways to experience the Brandywine and local outfitters rent canoes, kayaks and tubes. Much of the park was part of a Du Pont family estate and dairy farm before becoming a state park in 1965.

Childrens Pond
This one-acre pond has an ADA fishing deck and bench. The pond is a great spot for teaching children how to fish. Limited harvest and usage ensures that we can provide a special fishing experience for children.
