SEPTEMBER EVENTS

September through October 31st , 10am – 6pm 
Scarecrows In the Village
Peddler’s Village, 2400 Street Road, New Hope PA 
This beloved autumn tradition continues starting September 5th and runs for 8 weeks! One hundred hand-crafted scarecrows dot the brick pathways of scenic Peddler’s Village. Vote on your favorite scarecrows and enjoy live entertainment, unique shops and tasty offerings from local restaurants. 

September 16th – Sunday, September 18th 
(Fri-3pm-10pm, Sat- 6am-10 pm, Sun- 6am-8pm) 
Lancaster Balloon Festival
Bird in Hand, 2727 Old Philadelphia Pike Bird in Hand, PA 
This one-of-a-kind event features dozens of big, beautiful balloons. You can book ahead to fly during one the amazing mass balloon ascensions or enjoy watching from the ground! This family-friendly event is suitable for all ages with good food and music in the heart of Amish Country.

Morey’s Piers Oktoberfest
Morey’s Pier, 3501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ
Welcome autumn with a down the shore flair! For four weekends at the end of September through early October, enjoy German-themed food and beer at an outdoor biergarten at Jumbo’s Pub, plus live entertainment, family activities, and of course thrilling rides for the whole family!

Lower Gwynedd Fall Fest
Houston Road, Lower Gwynedd, PA
The Lower Gwynedd Township Fall Fest is replacing the popular Pike Fest.  After a two year break, this family day of fun is back on Saturday, September 17. The event will be held on Houston Road, between the Wissahickon high school and middle school. A 5K race will kick off the festivities, followed by an area packed with local business vendors, food trucks, kids amusements and music.

Fall Arts & Crafts Festival 
Linvilla Orchards, 137 West Knowlton Road Media PA
Bring the family and kick off the fall harvest season with the annual Arts & Craft Festival! See select local artists and crafts persons and live music performances. You will get a chance to shop for that unique find by browsing a variety of handmade wood crafts, jewelry, photography, candles and more!

Mid Autumn Festival 
China Friendship Gate, 10th and Arch Streets, Philadelphia PA
Celebrate the end of the harvest season with the Mid Autumn Festival! In ancient China, the moon was seen as a source of life because plants were seen glowing under the moonlight. This led to family traditions such as moon-gazing, celebrations and feasts in response to the end of the harvest season. This traditional lunar celebration in Philadelphia’s Chinatown features live music from the Beijing Opera, arts activities, dragon dances, taiko drumming performances, kung-fu demonstrations and a lantern parade and a mooncake-eating contest.

Radnor Fall Festival
Downtown Wayne, 115 North Wayne Ave., Wayne, PA
Enjoy a fun, fall day at the Radnor Fall Festival. This popular and award-winning festival features live entertainment, plenty of kids activities, vendors, food and more!  

Friday, September 23rd, 5:30pm – 8:00pm
Big Rig Roundup
Montgomery County Community College – Morris Road Lot, Blue Bell, PA
FREE event for the whole family! Come out to Montgomery County Community College for this free family event where  the kids can see, touch, and sit in some of the big trucks and equipment provided by the township and local businesses. Fire trucks, construction vehicles, tractors, and more!

Saturday, September 24th, 11am – 2:00pm
Touch a Truck
Miles Park Lower Parking Lot, 303 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 
This family favorite event returns to Miles Park! Touch-a-Truck returns this fall and will delight those both young and old, as the various large trucks from around the area congregate in the Miles Park Lower Lot. Pre-register on CommunityPass or by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 610-828-7276. $2.00 for kids/adults ages 2 and up. Pre-registration required

Saturday, September, 24th, 10am-4pm
Farmstead Fair
Harriton House, 500 Harriton Rd, Bryn Mawr, PA
Don’t miss this wonderful event in Lower Merion Township, featuring crafts and antiques, historic house tours, childrens’ games, muskets and soldiers, blacksmiths, stone carvers, cabinetmakers, spinners, Bluegrass music, falconry and other birds of prey, and so much more! The Harriton Farm stand features flowers and organic produce and the historic 1704 house will be open for tours during the day. 

Sunday September 25th, 11am – 5pm (rain date Sunday October 4th) 
Fall for the Arts Festival
Chestnut Hill on Germantown Avenue, between Willow Grove and Rex Avenue, Philadelphia PA
Everyone is invited to enjoy a day of art, music, delicious food, and boutique shopping at The Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts Festival. Germantown Avenue, between Willow Grove and Rex Avenue is transformed into an outdoor arts and crafts marketplace, featuring more than 150 talented artists, live music and fun activities for kids, too. 

Thursday September 29th – Saturday, October 1st,
Upper Dublin Tornado Relief Carnival
Temple University Ambler Campus, 580 Meetinghouse Rd, Ambler, PA 
Enjoy the beautiful scenery and fall weather and enjoy amusement rides, live music, food trucks, bounce houses and a beer garden – proceeds to help with tornado relief in the area. 

OCTOBER EVENTS 

Saturday, October 1st, 8am-3:30pm

Haverford Township Day
Darby Road, Havertown PA
Join us for a community celebration that includes a parade, live music and entertainment, great food, flea market and craft fair and fun rides for the kids!

Upper Dublin Tornado Relief Carnival
Temple University Ambler Campus, 580 Meetinghouse Rd, Ambler, PA 
Enjoy the final day of this community event and enjoy amusement rides, live music, food trucks, bounce houses and a beer garden – proceeds to help with tornado relief in the area. 

Saturday, October 1st, 3pm-7pm
Upper Merion Township Community Fair and Fall Festival
Heuser Park, 694 West Beidler Road King of Prussia, PA
The annual Upper Merion Township Community Fair & Fall Festival is back this year and you will not want to miss the fun! There will be food, fall fun, music and even fireworks at dusk!

Hatfield’s Rocktoberfest
School Road Park, 1619 School Road, Hatfield, PA 19440
Come out to experience live music, pumpkin painting, inflatable obstacle course and plenty of crafts, vendors, kids activities and food trucks. 

October 1st through 31st
Spooky Scarecrow Walk
Morris Arboretum, 100 E. Northwestern Avenue, Philadelphia, PA
The scarecrows are back with this year’s theme of “Spooky Scarecrows.” More than 30 scarecrows will be on display throughout the Arboretum beginning October 1 through Halloween. Vote for your favorite and your vote will determine the top prize winners. Wear your costume for trick-or-treating along the scarecrow walk October 29 and 30 from 1 to 3 pm!

Amblerfest
Main St. Ambler PA
Celebrate the fall season all along Main Street! Ambler restaurants and businesses will have special offerings all day. Expect over 90 vendors and 10 food trucks lining Butler Avenue and plus kids rides, a beer garden, live music performances on 2 stages all day and more! 

Saturday, October  8th, 12pm-7:30pm
Main Line Oktoberfest
Good Samaritan Field, 212 West Lancaster Ave, Paoli PA
This family-friendly Oktoberfest features games, pumpkin decorating, face painting, and bounce-houses for the kids, plus live music, dancing, German food, and a great beer selection for kids-at-heart. Purchase tickets in advance for a discount!
