Spring is typically the musical theater season for high school drama clubs and we have created a guide to the best high school musicals happening near you starting this month through the spring. Many of the talented performers and crew members you will see on stage can be eligible to receive a Cappie award. Think of a Cappie as the area’s high school equivalent to a Tony Award. What is really interesting is that The Cappies is for students and by students: It is a writing and awards program “that trains high school theatre and journalism students to be expert writers, critical thinkers, and leaders.” You can find more information on the Cappies here.
